Edible oils
Scooter
Scooter Mustard Oil is produced under a trademark registered to Vijay Industries, Khairthal — the Data Group company that opened the Group’s first mustard oil plant in 1978. It is made in two Agmark grades, Grade I and Grade II, and the brand also covers refined soyabean oil.
The Scooter mark sits with Vijay Industries at Khairthal, where the Group began. Mustard oil has been made there under the family’s ownership since 1978, and the tins are packed by Babulal Edible Oils at Alwar.
Agmark grading is a quality specification, not a marketing term: it sets limits on parameters such as acid value and refractive index, and the grade is determined by testing against them. Scooter mustard oil is produced in Grade I and Grade II.
Scooter also covers refined soyabean oil, sold under an earlier version of the Scooter mark that remains in limited use.
